Problem Handy (https://github.com/cjpais/Handy), which sends key events through enigo/CGEvent, presses Enter successfully in the exact same Zed window and field. So Zed does accept synthetic keyboard events — it just isn't receiving one here. Is it possible to support correct behavior? |

Thanks for the detailed report and for pointing me to Handy. I tracked this down to TypeWhisper gating the Return event on a standard Accessibility text role. Zed's GPUI editor does not expose one, so the paste succeeded but Return was skipped before any key event was posted. I fixed the logic so an explicitly enabled auto-enter is honored independently of that Accessibility role check. Return is now sent through a combined-session CGEvent source at the HID event tap, matching the working Enigo path. I also manually verified paste plus Enter in Zed 1.14.2. |

The fix is in PR #1096: #1096
