I was updating from a very old version of edgartools (5.15.3) and hit a problem with the renderer. I asked Claude to find the issue and this was the response: "Since 5.47.0, Filing.markdown() and Attachment.markdown() render through edgar.documents (#994). In that renderer, a table cell whose text is wrapped in nested <div> elements has its text emitted once per level of nesting, joined with newlines. <td><div><div>23.37</div></div></td> comes out as 23.37\n23.37, and three levels come out as three copies. The embedded newlines then split the markdown table row."
Apparently this was addressed for the XBRL footnote parser but not for the html tables.
Current edgartools 5.58.0, MacOS 26.6.2, python 3.14.2
