I think if the v7 stays in alpha too long it will never be able to release. I think making it into an RC so that things can move along and get some real testing would be useful.

Thoughts?

Also making the correct tags like @firebase-ui available something like pnpm i @firebase-ui@alpha would work.

Yeah, sorry for the clunky install experience in alpha. We've now published all the packages to npm, though we weren't able to use the @firebase-ui scope. We've switched to @firebase-oss.

Thanks for the feedback @codercatdev! Packages are now available under the @firebase-oss npm scope and beta tag, like npm install @firebase-oss/ui-react@beta. We've also added shadcn/ui support.
