[Feature] search images by image

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

It would be nice to be able to search images by similarity to an image. Could be either implemented by first extracting a description from the uploaded image, or by directly computing it's embedding and search through the embeddings.

Since similar images already exists, this feature request is mostly about explicit image search for an image from the device

View similar photos is an option in the asset viewer menu on mobile and web
and it's not too bad to upload an image to use it

Thanks for the quick reply. I didnt notice that show similar images is already there!

I think it would be nice to be able to use images for the search that you don't want to be stored on the server (screenshots, a snapshot of the object you are looking for etc)

Just upload the file and then delete it after searching tbh

I am quite disappointed in this comment.

1. The suggestion clearly is much less user-friendly than a dedicated option. I understand if this is low priority and the posted reply is a possible workaround but this does not address my request.

2. As a supporter of this project, this comment and the immediate closure of the feature request feels very disrespectful.

Please consider deleting the comment and reopening @bo0tzz. I know you probably have lots to do with this project, but we are all in the boat together here to produce something great.
