Summary

I created an addition to ChatControl to bridge to DiscordSRV but unfortunately it causes delays regardless of what I do with messages being delayed being posted to discord.

Can you add the functionality for ChatControl messages to mention Discord users that are Verified with DiscordSRV?

Example - Saying "@vic what are you doing?"
would ping Vic in Discord in the game chat/channel the chat message/webhook is posting to

Hey!

Added this - ChatControl now translates @mentions when forwarding chat to Discord, so "@vic what are you doing?" will ping the Discord member named Vic in the linked channel. It works in both webhook and bot mode and respects the DiscordChatChannelTranslateMentions: true setting in DiscordSRV's own config.yml (on by default), same as DiscordSRV does natively. Will be in the next version once the change is reviewed.

Names are matched against Discord usernames/nicknames in your server, so typing the person's Discord name is what triggers the ping.

Also, you don't need a custom bridge for this - just link your channel by setting Discord_Channel_Id under Channels.List.<channel> in settings.yml and ChatControl forwards chat to Discord directly.

Not yet - the change is still waiting on review, so it's not in any released version. It will ship in an upcoming update once merged, keep an eye on the changelog.
