I doubt you will find one. |

I found this, EN+ 7kW Smart Home, which from the manual looks like it will do the job: https://shop.ukevinstallers.co.uk/product/en-7kw-smart-home-ev-charge-point-4m-tethered/ https://enplus.uk/product_showcase/7kw-smart-home/ If anyone installs one, would be good to have confirmation that it works as expected. Edit: I contacted the manufacturer to confirm that their charger operates as the manual appears to suggest it does. I emailed and got no response. I phoned, was told someone would call me back and got no phone call. I phoned again, was told someone would phone me back urgently that day, and got no phone call, that day or the next or any day since. Pfft. Fsck you, EN+! 🖕 |

Another candidate, Solax X1-HAC-7: https://shop.ukevinstallers.co.uk/product/solax-smart-ev-charger-g2-1p-7kw-untethered-x1-hac-7s-e/ https://www.solaxpower.com/our-products/smart-ev-charger-g2.html According to the manufacturer: "Please connect the EV charger wifi signal and access 192.168.10.10. ... Here you can see the OCPP configuration." And also apparently supports TLS-encrypted OCPP and accepts self-signed certificates. Edit: more info from the manufacturer regarding logging in: "Please use 'admin' as the username. The password is the registration number of the EV charger." |

And yet another candidate, Keba P40: https://www.keba.com/en/emobility/products/p40/kecontact-p40-overview From the manufacturer:

I know it's old but I can add another possibility. Hydra Cubis. By default they expect you to use their app and cloud service. You don't have to though. Their tech support was very helpful with getting it setup entirely local only. There is an app (hcharger) you need to configure the charger but it doesn't require an account or any sign up. It works directly with the charger over Bluetooth. You setup your WiFi and ocpp server within that app. |
Uh oh!

Hi all,
The chargers I've looked at all start their configuration instructions with "first, install our app and create an account" or something similar, which I don't like. At all. To say the least.
Is anyone aware of a UK-legal charger that can have its OCPP configured without creating an account on some company's Internet server or even better, without any Internet connection at all? And certainly without a proprietary phone app?
Thanks,
rah
