search_issues method

Hello,
We are using the search_issues function from the JIRA client module. It looks like search_issues is using the deprecated search API, which will reach EOL on May 1st. Could someone please confirm if the search_issues function will be updated to use an alternate method, such as the JQL enhanced search, and released before May 1st?

I noticed that PyPI still shows the latest released version as 3.8.0, but the GitHub repo already has code up to 3.10.1.

Just wondering — is there any ETA on when the latest version will be published to PyPI?
