A full-stack movie discovery web application built using React, FastAPI, and TMDB API.
Iβve always enjoyed watching movies, but I often found it difficult to quickly discover good films or get detailed information in one place. Thatβs what inspired me to build MovieExplorerPro.
MovieExplorerPro is a full-stack movie discovery web application designed to make browsing movies simple, fast, and enjoyable. It helps users explore trending films, search for any movie, view detailed information, and watch trailers β all in a clean and modern interface.
The goal of this project is to solve a simple real-world problem:
π βFinding what to watch without wasting time scrolling endlessly.β
- To improve my full-stack development skills
- To understand how frontend and backend communicate
- To work with real APIs like TMDB
- To build a practical project that solves a daily problem
- Helps users discover trending and popular movies
- Lets users search any movie instantly
- Shows detailed movie information (rating, overview, release date)
- Provides trailer support for better decision-making
- Allows saving favorite movies for later

- Infinite scroll for movies
- Better UI animations (cinematic/Netflix-style UI)
- User authentication system
- Deployment (Vercel + Render)
- Recommendation system
