At the moment, language server provides two main features:
Error diagnostics
Completion for functions and jets
We plan to expand the functionality for working with SimplicityHL in future updates, and the language server will be the main development tool we will be working on.
Can we merge our VSCode extension functionality for the LSP into your official extension?
One more question: could we also move the repository with the language server itself to you? If so, what would be the best way to do this -- as a separate repository or as part of this one?
Yep, I think that'd be fine. I think the most straightforward way is if you could add me as an admin, and then I can transfer the repository into the BlockstreamResearch org. Is that okay?
I think it makes sense to stay as a separate repo, at least for now. None of the current maintainers of this one use vscode, which make it hard for us to do any serious reviews of changes, and I'm a bit wary of merging stuff without review from any of us.
I’ll check, but I believe it should be fine to add you as an administrator so that you can transfer the repository. I’ll do that next week, along with opening a pull request for the extension.
