Docs only. Adds an "Eddy current scanner (optional)" section under Firmware Configuration, using only what is in Kalico main now:

  • [probe_eddy_current scanner] with register_as_probe: False (multiple probes, Add support for multiple probes KalicoCrew/kalico#972) so the load cell stays the default probe for Z homing, and amplitude_errors: high (ldc1612: let user disable amplitude errors KalicoCrew/kalico#1009): the INDX coil trips the amplitude-low flag in normal use.
  • [temperature_sensor scanner_coil] with sensor_type: indx / indx_sensor: ldc_coil.
  • Calibration with the stock LDC_CALIBRATE_DRIVE_CURRENT and PROBE_EDDY_CURRENT_CALIBRATE.
  • Mesh notes: PROBE=scanner, horizontal_move_z above the scanner z_offset, mesh_min Y keeping the nozzle behind clearance_y, and zero_reference_position at the G28 Z probe point so the load cell sets the reference and the scanner only supplies bed shape.

The option names were checked against Kalico main's ldc1612.py, probe_eddy_current.py, probe.py and indx/sensors.py. The sections match the scanner config running on a Voron 2.4 350, which runs a Kalico test build with extra patches, not stock Kalico main, so this exact setup still needs a run on stock Kalico.
