SyntaxError while loading

I have weechat 2.5 from the official deb repository on Debian buster.
weetweet fails to load:

Do you have setuptools installed for both python3 and python2?

And you can run from pkg_resources import parse_version, get_distribution both from python2 and python3?

Then I don't really know what is going wrong. It seems like it tries to parse the output of when running the script. But it the script return the pkg_resources error, so it can't do anything.
