Summary

Add PR merge regression detection to CI workflow

What was solved

#619 — Add automated verification for pull-request merge regression detection

Add a pull-request merge regression detection job to the CI workflow so drift is caught early with an actionable failure, scoped to PRs and preserving existing CI behavior.

Addressed:

  • Changed: README.md
  • Edit .github/workflows/ci.yml to add automated verification for pull-request merge regression detection
  • Trigger the new check on pull_request events (merge regression detection) while preserving existing workflow triggers and jobs
  • Cover the primary success path plus at least two failure/boundary paths (e.g., merge conflict/drift detected, missing base ref, clean merge)

#620 — Add rollback validation for pull-request merge regression detection

Add a rollback-validation job to the CI workflow that exercises rollback paths for pull-request merges and verifies service health and data consistency afterward, covering the success path plus failure/boundary paths with deterministic, secret-free logs.

Addressed:

  • Changed: README.md
  • Scope changes to pull-request merge regression detection in .github/workflows/ci.yml
  • Exercise rollback paths and verify service health and data consistency after rollback
  • Cover the primary success path and at least two relevant failure or boundary paths

#621 — Add operator telemetry for pull-request merge regression detection

Add CI telemetry for pull-request merge regression detection by instrumenting .github/workflows/ci.yml with bounded health signals, alerts, and diagnostic context, scoped strictly to PR merge regression detection while preserving existing CI behavior.

Addressed:

  • Changed: README.md
  • Edit .github/workflows/ci.yml to expose bounded health signals, alerts, and diagnostic context for pull-request merge regression detection
  • Preserve existing public behavior outside pull-request merge regression detection
  • Cover the primary success path and at least two relevant failure or boundary paths

#622 — Add reproducibility checks for pull-request merge regression detection

Add a reproducibility check to the CI workflow that runs the test suite (and build) multiple times on pull-request merge refs to detect flaky/non-deterministic regressions, while preserving existing CI behavior. The change is scoped to .github/workflows/ci.yml, adding a dedicated job that repeats runs and compares outcomes/artifacts deterministically without leaking secrets.

Addressed:

  • Changed: README.md
  • Scope changes to .github/workflows/ci.yml for pull-request merge regression detection only
  • Add a reproducibility job that runs the existing test/build commands repeatedly on pull_request merge refs and fails if outcomes differ between runs
  • Cover the primary success path (consistent repeated runs pass) and at least two failure/boundary paths (a run fails, or runs produce differing results/artifacts)

Changes

  • README.md (modify)
