Hi there,
Hope you are well. I'm the author of iplotx:
https://iplotx.readthedocs.io/
a library to visualise networks and trees in Python with many style options and independent of what library was used to load in the data. It is compatible, among other things, with ETE4, cogent3, Biopython, and scikt-bio. It seems like there is some overlap with plot_phylo so I thought I'd reach out and hear if you would have any interest in joining hands in some way.
We have an extensive gallery of examples including both networks and trees:
https://iplotx.readthedocs.io/en/latest/gallery/index.html
If you prefer email communication, let me know and happy to switch to private mode too.
Thanks!
Fabio
