Welcome to the SEKO3 project wiki!
The current SEKO vocabulary is administered by the Finnish Expert Group on Music Metadata MUUSA) and published by the National Library of Finland on the finto.fi platform.
In this Github repository the FMPO project will be developing the monolingual SEKO Vocabulary into a multilingual linked data ontology of instruments and ensembles available for Finnish music content describers.
In this wiki we plan to
- Gather information on the guidelines, editorial process and decisions of the previous versions the vocabulary.
- Plan the new data model schema for the ontology.
- Plan the editorial guidelines for maintaining the new dataset - (e.g. github-issues, commenting and decision making)
- Document information sources supporting the musical instrument data maintenance
- Document the Finnish organizations and experts working with music metadata. May include international connection, too.
- Direct users to the current guidelines of musical content description in Finland and the use of SEKO.
- Any other data assisting the work of MUUSA expert group in SEKO development and maintenance.
