Welcome to the Sol wiki! The goal of this project was to create a simple and fast way for an individual to create an effective energy and mass transfer (EEMT) model from Daymet weather data and from an OpenTopography digital elevation model (DEM). Traditionally this would take a very long time to accomplish due to the multiple calculations that need to be run on massive data sets. Our goal was to parallelize the computation process so that instead of taking hours or even days to compute, it would only take minutes. Our solution to this problem is called Sol.
