Step 1 — Unlock Bootloader

# Enable Developer Options: Settings → About → tap Build Number 7x
# Enable OEM Unlocking in Developer Options
# Enable USB Debugging

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flashing unlock
# Device will wipe and reboot — this is expected

⚠️ Unlocking the bootloader wipes all data. Back up first.

Step 2 — Choose your ROM

Step 3 — Flash

# Flash with fastboot (most ROMs)
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img

# Or use adb sideload via recovery
adb sideload rom.zip

Step 4 — Root (optional)

# 1. Extract boot.img from ROM zip
# 2. Patch in Magisk app → magisk_patched.img
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
fastboot reboot

Step 5 — Lock bootloader (GrapheneOS only)

GrapheneOS supports verified boot with a locked bootloader even after flashing:

fastboot flashing lock

This is the recommended configuration for maximum security.
