Been looking at the schemas, capability maps, devices, and profile yamls and i've noticed that there doesnt seem to be a way to differentiate multiple devices (i.e. 2+ gamepads) and their input.
For my scenario, I'd like to combine a Thrustmaster T16000m and Throttle into one device (like how T.A.R.G.E.T. on windows does) but I dont see a way of differentiating if BTN_0 is coming from the Flight Stick or the Throttle.
Looking at the schemas, I want to say on the device schema, adding an optional identifier to, i believe, the source_devices so that in the capability_map schema, it can ingest that identifier in the mapping section's source_source event.
something like this:
-device map:
source_devices:
- group: gamepad
id: 0
evdev:
name: Microsoft X-Box 360 pad
phys_path: usb-0000:02:00.3-5/input0
handler: event*
- group: gamepad
id: 1
evdev:
name: Microsoft X-Box 360 pad
phys_path: usb-0000:02:00.3-5/input1
handler: event*
-capability map:
mapping:
- name: Test1
source_events:
- gamepad:
id: 0
event: LeftPaddle2
target_event:
gamepad:
button: Keyboard
- name: Test2
source_events:
- gamepad:
id: 1
event: LeftPaddle2
target_event:
gamepad:
button: Guide
