🛠️ Getting Started

Each project contains its own README.md with detailed setup instructions. On Windows (PowerShell), the general flow is:

  1. Navigate to a project (for example, the Car Rental app Backend):

    cd "Car Rental Booking Platform/Backend"
  2. Install dependencies (repeat in both Backend and Frontend):

    npm install
  3. Configure environment variables by creating a .env file in the Backend (and Frontend if required). See the project's own README for the exact keys (e.g., MONGODB_URI, JWT or Clerk keys, Cloudinary/ImageKit, Razorpay/Stripe, etc.).

  4. Start the Backend (common scripts):

npm run dev # or: npm run server
  5. In another terminal, start the Frontend:

cd "../Frontend"; npm install; npm run dev
  6. Open the local URLs printed by the servers (typically Vite at http://localhost:5173 and API at http://localhost:5000 or similar).
