Note on parallelisation

ASCAT.sc relies on the function mclapply for parallelisation. This function can lead to stalling in some environments and in combination with uses of other functions.

If this happens, overwriting the mclapply function in your global environment with the future_lapply function from package future.apply might circumvent the issue:

library(future.apply)
mclapply <- function(..., mc.cores=10)
{
    plan(multisession, gc=TRUE, workers=mc.cores)
    future_lapply(...)
}
