SMC not working on MacOS 27.0

After upgrade to MacOS 27.0, smc seems not working correctly.

What exactly did you do to produce the issue? (required)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to terminal
2. Run battery status
3. Check the result

Expected behavior (required)

We already have a PR #469 for this.
The fix works for me on Sequoia 15.8. You can install it manually. Just don't forget to revert the version back to BATTERY_CLI_VERSION="v1.3.4" so the script doesn't downgrade itself to a previous version.

That's strange! It should work.

This project will retire soon, macOS shipped this feature in version 27, Thanks.

I rather use his program because it disables charging and lets the battery drop, the Apple setting keeps letting it charge back to 80% and it'll wear the battery out faster than just disabling it using this.

I can reproduce this issue on macOS Golden Gate 27.2 Developer Beta (build 26B5091g) on a MacBook Air.

battery status reports:

Battery at 96% ((no remaining), 0V, smc charging unknown
Your battery is currently being maintained at 80%
Running battery charging off reports:
Unable to determine SMC keys for disabling charging
Unable to reset charging state
But pmset -g batt still reports:
96%; charging; (no estimate) present: true
So this appears to be the same macOS 27 SMC-key issue. I can test PR #480 on macOS 27.2 if that would be helpful.

Maybe battery could get some inspiration from https://github.com/az-code-lab/ampere ? Ampere works fine with macOS 27, but lacks such a nice command line version as battery has.

Thanks for the recommendation. I installed Ampere, and it works perfectly on macOS 27.
