i build things that move data around and try to teach machines to be useful.
mostly go, sometimes python. based in jakarta. currently working on rekursa β data and AI agent infrastructure for Southeast Asia.
- π jakarta, WIB (UTC+7)
- π οΈ shipping β nata's agent loop + a few experiments i can't talk about yet
- π reading β Designing Data-Intensive Applications (re-read, this time slower)
- π± learning β rust, properly this time
- distributed systems that don't wake me up at 3am β go microservices, multi-region, tail-latency SLOs
- applied ML β LLM/RAG, NLP, retrieval optimization, the kind of stuff that ships
- indonesian tech β small but scrappy, catching up fast. APICTA finalist 2019, 1st-author IEEE paper on indonesian spam detection
some of it is open source, some of it is for work, all of it taught me something:
- sapu β sweep articles off the web. stealth puppeteer scraper with multi-site scheduling
- knowledgestream β which wikipedia page is the most controversial right now? answered in real time via SSE β scoring β websocket
- travel-concierge β the travel agent i always wanted
5+ years inside the ecommerce business ecosystem β one of SEA's biggest marketplaces. did backend at scale β go microservices sustaining high QPS, multi-region deploys, the kind of load where p99 matters.
shipped within the ecommerce ecosystem: built an LLM/RAG seller-onboarding engine that cut ops tickets for the seller funnel. trained GBM and adopt transformers model that prevented monthly fraud losses at scale. reduced p99 latency several-fold across seller-affiliate services.
education β master's in IT from University of Indonesia (enterprise focus), bachelor's in informatics from Telkom University (AI focus).
