Minor updates to the server too

Hello

Is there any way to update the server to one of the smaller releases that have come out lately too? Maybe some manual way to do it if it's too big of a task for this project.

But a bit of praise for this project too, me and my friends enjoy playing on my Raspberry Pi 5 server without much issues. Love this

@andri1305 you are able too with the instructions in the readme. I believe you can also automate it with Docker. I plan on messing with it tomorrow and will let you know.

Thanks, managed to do it but I'd prefer it to be doable with the container since it already has .NET in it and I had to install it separately now to update it with the script.

EDIT: Actually didn't manage to update it.

Thanks for the ARM64 release

I managed to update from 1.22.0 to 1.22.3.

1. Backed up world save
2. deleted whole server
3. I downloaded the latest 1.22.3 Linux tar.gz Archive (server only) version -> uploaded and extracted
4. Swapped x64 VintagestoryServer files for ARM64 ones (1.22.0 in repository) like the manual installation steps say in the readme.
5. Reuploaded world save. into Data/Saves folder.

There are probably more sophisticated ways to do it.
But I'm running the server with pterodactyl on Oracle Cloud.
I was having trouble with the install script due to read-only perms. in my container.

Since I had to do it again I made a generic guide that could be used

#1. Go to the server directory and download the required files
cd /srv/game_servers/vintagestory
sudo wget <Vintage Story server download link>
sudo wget <ARM64 release download link>

#2. Stop the server
docker compose down

#3. Backup current server files
sudo mkdir server-bak
sudo mv server/* server-bak/

#4. Make temporary folder or remove files in existing one
sudo mkdir tmp
or
sudo rm -r tmp/*

#5. Extract the new Vintage Story server
sudo tar -xf vs_server_linux-x64_*.tar.gz -C tmp/

#6. Remove x64 launcher files
sudo rm -r tmp/VintagestoryServer*
sudo rm -r tmp/Lib

#7. Extract ARM64 release
sudo tar -xf vs_server_linux-arm64_*.tar.gz -C tmp/

#8. Replace server files
sudo mv tmp/* server/

#9. Check for mod updates (optional)
/srv/game_servers/vintagestory/data/Mods

#10. Rebuild Docker image
docker compose build --no-cache

#11. Start the server
docker compose up -d
