using key puts it into the api key in the build not the key section

Hi - I did a custom build and put in the url and key and generated and the final client has the key in the api field in the network area not in the key section.
I also tried putting the key in the api section and same...put's it inthe api section.

The generator does not put anything in the configuration. Anything you input is built into the program as default. If you have something I. The API field, this would be from your previous configuration file. Remove the configuration.

I'm having the same issue as RJLCns, I create a fresh install of w11 in vmware and ran the programs, there is no key entry only host and api (that I never added api in the build). May if I can email you the settings and you can try and build it?

I don't understand how this is possible. rdgen does not set anything in the configuration file. If your network settings show something it must have come from either manually entering something there or using and install script that edits the configuration file. Maybe I'm missing something though. What does it do if you open the network settings, remove all of the setting from there, then install rustdesk again from your generated file (rename it with -install at the end so it opens the install menu). Does it re-enter the information into the network settings or is it blank?

Hi. I have attached pics of the fields that can be filled out and whatever we put in the key field when the client is built, downloaded & run the key appears in the client in the api field.

Ok, I'm not sure what is going on. I reverted a recent change, try again and see if it works correctly now.

Its seems to have fixed the connection as I don't see the message "For Faster Connection setup your own server" just the green dot and "Ready".
I can connect to it but the networks setting are blank now, is this normal behavior?

Not displaying it is the expected behavior, but it does cause some minor issues. It's low priority and cannot override the existing configuration.
