Smart Contract Pre-Frontend Testing

A Claude Code skill for testing deployed smart contracts before frontend integration.

Installation

npx skills add bsmocovich/smart-contract-prefrontend-testing

When to Use

  • Contract just deployed to mainnet/testnet and needs verification
  • Frontend minting failing with unclear errors
  • Need to confirm contract state (royalties, signer, permissions)
  • Verifying ERC721-C transfer validator configuration

What's Covered

  • Basic contract info verification (name, symbol, owner, totalSupply)
  • Interface support checks (ERC165, ERC721, ERC2981)
  • Royalty configuration verification
  • ERC721-C validator checks
  • Direct RPC calls when ethers.js has issues
  • Common function selectors reference table
  • curl examples for quick checks
  • Complete verification checklist

Key Insight

Always test contracts via direct RPC calls before debugging frontend issues. Many "frontend bugs" are actually contract configuration problems.
