Rule Action Email SendGrid

The email SendGrid integration allow delivery of emails via their platform.

Recipient and content of said emails can be customized.

Sendgrid is free up to 100 email a day.

Configuration

SendGrid API Key

You will first need to signup for a free account at https://signup.sendgrid.com/

Then create an api key at https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/api_keys

When asking for "API Key Permissions", a "Restricted access" with the "Mail Send" privilege is all that is needed. "Full access" while not recommended will also work.

Copy this key and save it somewhere safe. It can only be accessed once when it is being created. If you lost it do not worry, simply create a new api key.

It is important to authorize your From address in Sendgrid via https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/sender_auth

A successful Sendgrid integration will show delivered emails at https://app.sendgrid.com/email_activity.

List of recipient email addresses

You can add a single recipient by entering his email.

Example:

test@example.com

Or multiples by separating them with comas.

Example:

test1@example.com,test2@example.com,test3@example.com

Email address this email is sent from

Example:

my.name@something.com

In order for Sendgrid to work, this email need to be validated beforehand.

Validation can be done at https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/sender_auth.
