Offline - server unreachable if OmniRoute lives on a LAN address

My OmniRoute lives at http://192.168.2.4:20128. curl works fine:

vscode does not, however, it says Offline - server unreachable.

I also found the same problem in the Kilo code extension, so I suspect the issue is actually within vscode and it doesn't like plain HTTP endpoints on LAN addresses for some reason.
