What

Adds a cask for frostyard/chairlift so Bluefin (and anyone on this tap) can install it in a user-scope managed flow.

This revision updates the cask to use the release artifact that actually ships the desktop integration files and arm64 tarballs, and pins the per-arch SHA256 values from the upstream checksums.

Validation

  • Verified the published tarball contents include data/ assets required by the cask
  • Verified the downloaded archives match the pinned SHA256 values from upstream checksums.txt
  • Verified the cask metadata points at the release assets that provide the desktop integration files and arm64 archive

Notes

The cask intentionally leaves the updex helper unlinked because the upstream polkit integration is not available from a user-scope install; see frostyard/chairlift#54.

Packages frostyard/chairlift for Linux: brew-managed binary + wrapper,
with the desktop file and icons installed into ~/.local/share so the
app appears in GNOME. Exec is rewritten to the brew-prefixed wrapper so
the app inherits the Homebrew environment.

Blocked on frostyard/chairlift#53: release tarballs must ship data/
(desktop file, icons, wrapper) and arm64 builds first. sha256 is
:no_check until the first such release is cut, then pinned per-arch.

The updex pkexec helper is intentionally not linked; polkit policies
are unreachable from a user-scope cask (frostyard/chairlift#54).

Ship frostyard's ChairLift (GTK4 system-management GUI for Homebrew,
Flatpak, and bootc) on all variants via the managed preinstall.d set:

- preinstall.d/chairlift.Brewfile: frostyard/tap (trusted) + cask
- /usr/share/chairlift/config.yml maintainer defaults: bootc staged
updates and updex disabled until frostyard/chairlift#54 resolves
  the polkit integration; bundles_paths pointed at Bluefin Brewfiles;
  help links to docs/issues/ask.projectbluefin.io
- tests/test_chairlift_config.py pins those decisions

Requires cask lifecycle support in brew-preinstall and a chairlift
release with desktop data files (frostyard/homebrew-tap#1,
frostyard/chairlift#53).

Reorder the chairlift cask to match Homebrew stanza conventions:
- version/sha256/url form one contiguous group
- name/desc/homepage form the next contiguous group

Use sha256 :no_check because the URL points at the moving dev
release tag, which Homebrew treats as unversioned. This satisfies
Cask/StanzaOrder, Cask/StanzaGrouping, and the audit rule that
requires :no_check for unversioned URLs.
