Summary
Fix high severity security issue in
binding/xml.go.Vulnerability
V-001binding/xml.go:20Description: The XML binding in Gin uses Go's encoding/xml package via xml.NewDecoder without any explicit configuration to restrict internal entity processing. While Go's standard library does not support external entity resolution (preventing classic XXE file read/SSRF), it does process internal DTD entities. This enables billion laughs (XML bomb) denial-of-service attacks where recursive entity definitions cause exponential memory consumption during parsing. The binding directly decodes untrusted XML from HTTP request bodies without entity expansion limits.
