Solution description

The material library has been decoupled from the Flutter SDK and released as its own package. It will be removed from the SDK in future versions. This PR moves all the imports to use the decoupled package. This PR is the result of running dart fix --apply --code=migrate_design_widgets as suggested by the the SDK 3.47.0 release notes.

The release notes also suggest that such a change in a library should ideally be made as a major release.

@joanpablo We need to get this merged in to support the new material_ui package. Otherwise each user of this package has to do workarounds. Thank you

@joanpablo : Can you merge this please, i guess this PR stays hanging for too long and a lot of us are waiting for it. I have migrated to flutter 3.47 and moved to the decoupled material ui package as suggested by Flutter team.
However the build with reactive forms is failing. And this PR addresses it. Could you merge it. A lot of folks have been asking for it please since August:

@abdulhaq-e I guess you should as well change the package version to 18.3.x or to 19.0.0 as it is kinda a major breaking change

His GitHub contributions for this @joanpablo account are nearly non-existent for the year so it's probably safe to say this great package has been abandoned and needs a new fork 😞

@chillbrodev According to you, we should try to fork this project. It seems like it's no longer maintain as you noticed.

Ah bummer, this package has been really great. I hope someone else can fork and maintain for the community. Wish Flutter would endorse this directly.
