π¨ Severity: HIGH
π‘ Vulnerability: Rate limiting middleware was commented out in
backend/src/app.ts, exposing the API to brute-force and DoS attacks. Additionally, the backend was unable to start (DoS) due to an incompatible version of@fastify/jwt.π― Impact: Without rate limiting, attackers could flood the API. The dependency mismatch prevented the application from running.
π§ Fix:
@fastify/rate-limitinbackend/src/app.ts.@fastify/jwtfrom^10.0.0to^8.0.0to resolve incompatibility with Fastify v4 (v10 requires Fastify v5).β Verification: Run
cd backend && npm testto verify the rate limiting test passes. The application also starts successfully now.PR created automatically by Jules for task 12051110201616985247 started by @Magnopiro-oficial
