Instalker is an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) tool for Instagram designed to determine whether an anonymous or suspicious Instagram profile is likely operated by someone who already follows the target from another account.
The project is intended for OSINT researchers, cybersecurity enthusiasts, investigators, and anyone interested in Instagram profile correlation and digital footprint analysis.
Instalker performs an Instagram OSINT investigation by comparing a suspicious Instagram profile against the followers of a target account.
Many anonymous or stalking accounts are not created entirely from scratch. In practice, users often reuse old or inactive email addresses when creating secondary Instagram accounts, leaving behind subtle similarities in usernames.
Instalker leverages these patterns to determine whether the suspicious account is likely associated with someone who already follows the victim.

Instalker follows a profile correlation workflow:
- Import the suspicious Instagram profile.
- Import the target account's follower list.
- Extract public information from both datasets.
- Compare every follower against the suspicious profile.
- Calculate similarity.
- Generate a ranked list of followers whose profiles most closely resemble the suspicious account.
The purpose is to narrow the investigation by identifying followers whose public profile characteristics are most consistent with the suspicious account.
When using the program, create a new Instagram account to avoid being banned due to community guidelines.”
