Description
Summary:
After registering name (fullName) and gender in multiple languages for a test identity, the /oauth2/userinfo response does not return the value in the language requested via claim_locales / per-claim essential claims. Instead, name falls back to English (with the resolved language literally appended to the value, e.g. "Postman Test User eng"), and the essential given_name claim is missing from the response entirely rather than falling back or erroring.
Actual Result:
Userinfo response does not return multi-language claim values
Userinfo response received:
Steps to Reproduce
- Ensure the test individual's identity record has multi-language values for fullName and gender, including at least eng and fra, e.g.:
json
"gender": [
{
"language": "eng",
"value": "MLE"
},
{
"language": "fra",
"value": "MLE"
},
{
"language": "ara",
"value": "MLE"
},
{
"language": "hin",
"value": "MLE"
},
{
"language": "tam",
"value": "MLE"
},
{
"language": "kan",
"value": "MLE"
}
],
"fullName": [
{
"language": "eng",
"value": "TEST_FULLNAMEeng"
},
{
"language": "fra",
"value": "TEST_FULLNAMEfra"
},
{
"language": "ara",
"value": "TEST_FULLNAMEara"
},
{
"language": "hin",
"value": "TEST_FULLNAMEhin"
},
{
"language": "tam",
"value": "TEST_FULLNAMEtam"
},
{
"language": "kan",
"value": "TEST_FULLNAMEkan"
}
],
- Run the FAPI2.0 flow's Initiate PAR request with:
- claim_locales: fra
- claims: [fill in: paste the exact "claims" parameter JSON you sent, e.g. {"userinfo":{"given_name":{"essential":true},"phone_number":{"essential":true},"gender":{"essential":true}}}]
- Complete Initiate Authorization → Flow meta → Flow execute (start / select acr / enter uin / enter password) → Auth callback → Exchange Code for Token → Exchange Token for Userinfo.
- Inspect the /oauth2/userinfo response.
Expected Behavior
Userinfo response should return multi-language claim values, name should be returned in the requested locale (fra), e.g. reflecting the fra-tagged fullName value, without any resolved-language marker appended to it.
