Adds the legal layer the project was missing: what the licence means, where the rules come from, and what a blocked site can do about it. This is general information, not legal advice.

New

  • ATTRIBUTION.md — project licence (GPL-3.0) in plain terms; rule provenance; the upstream licences that apply where a rule came from a community list (EasyList GPLv3+ / CC BY-SA 3.0+, AdGuard and uBlock Origin uAssets GPLv3); a 7-day attribution-or-removal commitment; the no-paid-placement rule (no domain added or removed for money, donations never influence a decision); and an as-is disclaimer.
  • /docs/hukuki — the same in Turkish as a site page, added to the docs sidebar. On the way, the dead test entry in meta.json was removed (there is no test.mdx).

Changed

  • Filter list header now carries ! License: GPL-3.0 and ! Attribution: …/ATTRIBUTION.md. The header ships inside every download, so it is the one place a downstream user is guaranteed to see both.
  • README.md / README.en.md — a short Legal section pointing at the two documents.

Why the no-paid-placement line matters

Acceptable-Ads-style payment for whitelisting is the specific practice that got ad blockers into court and into years of bad press. Writing the opposite down is cheap and makes the project's position auditable.

Verification

  • python3 -m unittest scripts.test_filter_invariants → 8 tests OK (header regexes still match, version/changelog still in sync)
  • npx aglint → no problems; filter_lint.py → no issues
  • npm run build → /docs/hukuki generated, 23 static pages, exit 0

Merging touches turk-adfilter.txt, so this is the first PR that should produce a release with an automatically written changelog entry (v1.9.7) — the end-to-end check for #84.

The project had no statement of what the licence means for the rules, where
they come from, or what happens if someone's site is blocked by mistake — the
gap a maintainer or an institution asks about first.

- ATTRIBUTION.md: project licence, rule provenance, the upstream licences that
apply to rules derived from community lists (EasyList GPLv3+/CC BY-SA 3.0+,
AdGuard and uBlock uAssets GPLv3), a 7-day correction commitment, the
no-paid-placement rule, and an as-is disclaimer
- docs/hukuki.mdx: the same in Turkish as a site page, linked from the docs
sidebar; the dead "test" entry in meta.json is dropped on the way
- README.md / README.en.md: a short Legal section pointing at both
- the filter list header now carries `! License:` and `! Attribution:` lines,
because the header travels with every download and is the only place a
downstream user is guaranteed to see them

Verified: 8 invariant tests, AGLint and filter_lint clean, `npm run build`
generates /docs/hukuki (23 static pages, exit 0).
