@azuser

We are updating the Queensland State Legislative Assembly OCD IDs to reflect the Queensland Redistribution Commission's Final Determination published on 29 June 2026.
The changes include renaming 17 electoral districts, abolishing 2 districts (Hill and Stretton), and creating 2 new districts (Caboolture and Springfield). Queensland will continue to have 93 Legislative Assembly electoral districts.
These changes are being made to align the OCD ID repository with the newly determined electoral districts following Queensland's 2026 state electoral redistribution. The new district names and boundaries will take effect from the next Queensland State General Election in 2028. Until then, the existing electoral districts and boundaries remain in effect, including for any by-elections held before the current Legislative Assembly is dissolved or expires.

These changes look good to me. Can you please add a link to the published determination for reference as well?

I think we should hold off on annotating the aliases until closer to the election.

The issue is that aliases don't have any notion of a validFrom time, and these renames don't really apply until the election happens. So as-is one could interpret these as saying the rename already applies now.
