@gengliqi was nominated and promoted to the role of Reviewer in the TiDB community on February 16, 2025 (nomination record). Since his promotion, he has continued to make significant and consistent contributions across several critical areas of TiDB, especially in executor, distributed execution, materialized view, and TiFlash-related improvements, demonstrating both strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of the TiDB architecture.
@gengliqi has been steadily driving a number of important fixes and enhancements in TiDB. His recent work includes performance improvements for IndexLookUp queries, reducing unnecessary logging in distributed execution paths, improving materialized view related features, and enhancing observability around TiFlash RPC and server debug capabilities. These contributions have directly improved TiDB's stability, performance, and maintainability.
