Unable to "Install Missing Libraries" on NB 8 / Mac

I have set up NB 8 on Linux and Mac with the NodeJS Project plugin. The project is hosted at bitbucket. It involves 3 repos that are all private. The main project is accessed through https, the dependencies via ssh and public key. This setup is working great on Linux. On the Mac (10.9.2) all works (so far) except for the "Install Missing Libraries" function accessible from the menu after the project is initially installed via cloning.

After attempting to use "Install Missing Libraries" the output window shows only "null".

I am able to install the dependencies with plain npm from the project's folder, and after that the nb-nodejs plugin works great.

The same project works flawlessly on Linux (Fedora), awesome plugin!

"Install Missing Libraries" isn't part of the NodeJS plugin. When do you
see that and what shows it?

Ah, okay, it may be part of the stock nodes "non project" plugin. I'll check into that.

It appears when the npm dependencies are not present, and disappears when they are fulfilled (via npm install). In addition, a yellow triangle is displayed in the project icon.

Is the procedure for updating dependencies in NodeJS Project Plugin?

The workaround is easy enough, open terminal in the project dir, run npm install.

Actually, it is part of this plugin. See this commit which includes the text for the menu item in node-projects/src/main/resources/org/netbeans/modules/nodejs/ui2/Bundle.properties
