I wonder, why this command is not yet implemented for BibTeX, which should be in parameters.py. There it might be defined with replacement '\par' as it produces the list of references. Since we load all packages by default, this would be overwritten by your suggested change. Do you see any disadvantag in only adding the command to parameters.py with replacement \par and not adding it to BibLaTeX? If you just call it in the preamble, extra paragraphs shouldn’t be a problem.

Moreover, the command takes no optional argument. Would you remove that, add the command to list-of-macros.md, and maybe move it to parameters.py with the suggested changes?

Hi! Sorry to say: I have since I wrote this moved to ltex with coc.nvim, which fits my needs more than YaLafi. I don't think I'll come around to fix up your suggestions, but feel free to amend where necessary! :-)
