   I added #209 which was brought over from the PING review of WebRTC-SVC (w3cping/privacy-request#117). That review was closed, but it seems like we should also close out this issue as part of privacy review.

   Proposed at TPAC 2025:

   • Clarifying that the questions raised in the Accessibility review don't apply to Media Capabilities.
   • Coming up with a list of new features / behaviors since the initial privacy review was completed in 2020, and bringing them back to the group for discussion about re-enaging with PING. @markafoltz will take this on.
   • Adding material to the spec, if needed, from the security self review. @chrisn volunteered to help.

   I manually reviewed PRs landed to the spec between 5/2021 (date of initial privacy review) and now.

   The following PRs are changes that have some privacy impact, because they update the security and privacy sections, or change what information the API is providing to sites.

   • Add spatialScalability to VideoConfiguration #189
   • Update hdr_explainer.md with latest status of video-* features #210
   • RTC capabillity negotiation #212
   • Issue #176: Add comments to privacy section to address issue. #217
   • Clarify meaning of spatialScalability #218
   • add definition of power efficient, remove battery note #221
     • Removes a reference to the Battery API.

   Because we did land updates to the P+S section, I recommend re-engaging with PING at the right time to take a look at the updated P+S section, focused around the changes listed above.

   We should first make sure it is up to date w.r.t. spatialScalability as that property was added since the initial review.

   As for the rest:

   The following PRs clarify existing behavior or add more context to the specification, without changing the privacy properties (in my opinion).

   • Specify in which contexts optional members are applicable #193
   • Update introduction section #204
   • Fixup MIME usage #222
   • Make keySystemAccess nullable in MediaCapabilitiesDecodingInfo #223
