The browser installer still installs Gentle Shell with the user's own tools. The bundled design (odd/tasks/bundled-gentle-shell.md) and its pieces (T1a module #2060, T1b release lockfile #2066) are on main but not used by the wizard.

A new release-channel installation installs a bundled Gentle Shell when the release publishes the distribution assets; the user's npm registry, proxy and auth settings are respected (S12). Releases without the assets keep the current path.
