Evidence: On 2026-07-01, H100 job 84537315162 and GB200 job 84537315285 both failed TestQwen3MoeQuantizationWorkflow::test_qwen3_moe_quantization_and_generation_with_expert_parallelism. TransformerEngine grouped_linear.py:1764 passes explicit m_splits, while ModelOpt 0.44.0rc5 reads non_tensor_args[0] and raises TypeError: object of type 'bool' has no len(). Release PR #4535 introduced the incompatible TE override on 2026-06-26 without running these L2 jobs; #4613 exposes it while advancing MCore from d30c93ff to 458c8d0e.
