Simplified Chinese, Crowdin translations, and a documentation round - #110
Simplified Chinese, community translation on Crowdin, and a round of documentation. Not a release: the user-facing changes are under [Unreleased] in CHANGELOG.md.
Untranslated text fixed: the sort sheets, the folder PDF count and "N pages" in file info and thumbnails were written in English in the code, so they showed in English in every language. They're now resources in all 13 languages, with plurals for the counts. The Watermark page chip no longer prints a raw %1$s.
Help Translate in Settings, below GitHub Repository, opens the Crowdin project.
Translations on Crowdin
crowdin.yml connects crowdin.com/project/pdf-reader-pro: Android format, values-%two_letters_code% folders, daily sync from feature, pull requests from l10n_feature.
The first Crowdin sync (New Crowdin updates #109) is included: formatting only, plus the optional many plural forms Crowdin doesn't keep for es, fr, it and pt (Android falls back to other).
Crowdin's [ci skip] commit suffix is turned off, so CI and the translation check run on its pull requests from now on.
Docs
Every README has a localized Translations section (badge, languages, Crowdin, the translation discussion Translating PDF Reader Pro #108), a wiki link, and correct build requirements (SDK 37, AGP 9.4.1, Kotlin 2.4.20, Gradle 9.8.0, iText 9).
All 1,408 strings and 26 plurals, in values-zh so Simplified Chinese
systems get it and Traditional Chinese ones keep English. It is listed in
the language setting as 中文, and the translation check knows Chinese has
a single plural form. Requested in discussion #107.

Checking Simplified Chinese screen by screen turned up text written into the
code in English, so it showed in English in every language: the sort
sheets' descriptions and buttons (Newest, Oldest, Largest, Smallest, Most,
Least, PDF Count), the folder's PDF count chip, "N pages" in file info and
thumbnails, and the thumbnail's screen reader label. They are now string
resources in all 13 languages, with the counts as plurals. The Watermark
page chip printed a raw %1$s; it now shows Custom, as Page Numbers does.
A Crowdin badge in every README shows how complete each language is, and
CONTRIBUTING.md's Want to Translate? section now sends people to the
Crowdin project instead of editing strings.xml by hand.
Every README gets a Translations section, in its own language, with the
Crowdin progress badge, the list of languages, how to help on Crowdin and
a link to the new translation discussion (#108). CONTRIBUTING.md points
there for missing languages and questions.
Crowdin's first export of the 12 languages: formatting only, plus the optional many plural forms that Crowdin does not keep for Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
Every README links the new wiki from its Community section. The
Requirements list still showed SDK 36, AGP 9.1.0, Kotlin 2.3.10, Gradle
9.4.0 and iText 7; it now matches the build (SDK 37, AGP 9.4.1, Kotlin
2.4.20, Gradle 9.8.0, iText 9), and CONTRIBUTING.md asks for JDK 21.

contact email and the install-permission screen all started an activity
directly, so a phone without a matching app hit the crash screen. They
now go through one helper that shows "No app found to open this" in all
